Open houses mark World Diabetes Day

Both Health Sciences North’s Diabetes Care Services and the Shkagamik-Kwe Health Centre are hosting open houses Nov. 14 in honour of World Diabetes Day.
A press release from Shkagamik-Kwe said roughly nine million Canadians are living with diabetes or pre-diabetes. Those over the age of 40 with high blood pressure and cholesterol are at risk of developing diabetes.
